Hello! My name is Leia Webb. I am proud to say that I grew up in Comfort and am a CHS graduate. I graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a B.Ed in History and English. I am also certified to teach Theatre Arts. My husband, Kenny, and I moved back to the area in 1988 shortly before our first child was born. We now have two wonderful sons, Tucker and Tanner, both of whom are Comfort High School graduates. In May of 2016 Tucker married our lovely daughter-in-law, Kayla, who is also a CHS grad. Exactly one year to the day later they had our first grandchild, Ethan Lee. I began my employment with CISD in 1990 as an English teacher and assistant volleyball coach. When our second son was born I left coaching and made the switch from teaching English to teaching Social Studies at CMS. During my time at Comfort Middle School I began directing the UIL One-Act Play. In the fall of 2003 I made the move across town and became a World History teacher at CHS as well as the Theatre Arts teacher and OAP director. In recent years my duties at CHS have come to include teaching U.S. History, SAT Prep and Facilitating the Dual Credit classes as well as serving as the chairperson of the Social Studies Department, UIL Coordinator, and Graduation Sponsor. Between teaching school and being a wife and mother I live a busy and crazy life but I love every minute of it.
